"Let down .
After five years of being told I have parkinsons my condition has been changed to parkinsons +
Does anybody have any experience of this condition?
I'm 61 years old and I think this may be a game changer .
Progressive Supranuclear paralysis is the technical name.
Does anybody have any experience of this?"
Thank you for sharing. I have known several people diagnosed with a Parkinson's plus syndrome. One was a relative with PSP. I do not know for certain, but I am pretty sure his visual problems were wheel gloved to using a wheelchair. He didn't respond to carbidopa-levodopa so it was stopped. I don't know that your path will bear any resemblance to his. A friend of mine is an occupational therapist with Parkinson's experience (her dad and some patients) and I've learned from her that various therapies help, especially when started as needed. That's all I know. I hope you receive more suggestions/help. Kind regards, Lorraine, Parkinsonsdisease.net.com

"I'm good "
"I had a bit of a meltdown yesterday. Really unusual for me. Always been cool and calm. This illness is changing me. I'm full of dread and always thinking the worst. Very dark at times. "
I'm so sorry to hear that, @hubby. The fear that comes with PD is very understandable. If you want to talk about what happened, we're hear to listen. In the meantime, I thought I'd share an article with you that offers some practical tips on addressing some fears of PD: https://parkinsonsdisease.net/living/fears-parkinsons/. I hope this helps. Take care. - Chris, ParkinsonsDisease.net Team
