Move it or Loose it

I'm a firm believer in this, I was diagnosed with PD in 2018. My biggest change is balance. I started out with Rock Steady, I had numerous falls resulting in blood, stitches and emergency clinics. When I started Rock Steady (RS) I was using a walker, at the end of RS, I was not using the walker as much and my falling was better. When COVID hit, they stopped RS, I was bound to get exercise in. Lisa, one of the RS assistants would continue working with me. Lisa took charge and went to a local City center and convinced them to let me use it for a strengthening program. They were convinced that this would be the right way to go. She opened it up to the community and offered it to PD and elderly clients at no cost. That is still going on today but now we are using YOUTUBE exercises for seniors. Because of this I was becoming stronger and stronger with greatly reduced falls. Today I go to a RS program being held at a the Huber Heights YMCA twice a week. A Delay the Disease program by Miami Valley North Hospital (MVNH) is doing the program based on a grant they received from the PD Foundation.
Needless to say I believe in the Use or loose it concept. I had 3 or 4 falls in the past 2 years due to my efforts and the fantastic programs efforts we can take because of PD Foundation grants to the dedicated instructors hospitals and YMCAs in Englewood, Ohio who see the needs of PD patients and are doing something about it.
