Denial

A family member is displaying symptoms of Parkinson's disease. His voice is becoming very quiet - dysphonia? His gait is hunched, similar to a kyphosis. Urinary incontinence occurs every couple of days. Fine tremor is present in his hands, and his head shakes. He has reduced facial expression and had a fall last week in the street. The gentleman will not acknowledge these symptoms or seek help or a diagnosis.

  1. Hi I wanted to check in on you and see how things were going with your family member? Has anyone in your family been able to get him to see his doctor? I wanted to send over this article with resources. I hope this can help as well: https://parkinsonsdisease.net/caregivers/care-partners-get-involved. Jill (Team Member)
