Limericks About Parkinson's

One way I keep my brain active is by writing limericks. A limerick is a five-line poem with a specific rhyme scheme and rhythm, typically humorous or whimsical. Here are a few about Parkinson's.

Dr. Parkinson's claim to fame
is having a disease that bears his name.
Some have tremors and so much more.
Others lack balance and have symptoms galore.
Each person's troubles are not all the same.

How can these yellow pills so small
do anything that would help at all?
But carbidopa
and levodopa
have saved me from many a fall.

Freezing is a thing I do
even if the temp is 102.
It's a Parkinson fact
that I just seem to act
like my feet were stuck in glue.

An old relic could look good as new
with just a coating of spray paint or two.
The can of my choosing
read "shake well before using"
and with PD I always do.
