Dystonia in the feet and toes

My husband broke some toes on his left foot. With his dystonia, the foot cramps so hard that the toes are not healing. Is there anything that can keep his toes from curling?

  1. Have you tried a medical supply house? They carry a device similar to what is used to separate the toes during a pedicure but made of sturdier material than foam.I don’t know if it will work but it may be worth a try. Thea DeStephano Community Team Membar

    1. you'll have to tell me more about this at our group chat next week. This problem is my nemesis!

  2. Good idea! I will try that, thanks!!

    1. , I JUST WENT TO AMAZON.COM AND THEY HAVE 2 PAGES FULL OF CHOICES WHEN I ASKED FOR CREST TOE PADS. HOPE THIS HELPS SOMEONE. I AM GOING TO BUY SOME FOR MYSELF. HOPE OTHERS WILL NOT WAIT TO GET RELIEF.
      THANKS TO LYNRD AND THEA!

  3. I use some thing called Crest pads that you get on Amazon to keep my toes from curling. They might help when you first put them on. It feels like you’re walking on a rock, but that feeling very quickly goes away when you take a few steps.

    1. thanks! I'm amazon googling now!

  4. Interesting, Thanh’s, I’ll look into that as well.
