Anyone Have Experience with Coffee Enemas and Parkinson's?

My apologies for such a sensitive subject.

  1. Hi, Michael. Thanks for taking the time to submit this question. I thought I'd chime in briefly while we wait to hear from others.

While studies have shown that caffeine consumption through drinks like coffee and tea may decrease risk factors for developing PD, there is no scientific evidence that states that coffee enemas are helpful to treat any medical conditions. We'd encourage you to speak to your doctor about trying any new treatments. Thanks again for submitting your question! - Chris, ParkinsonsDisease.net Team Member

    1. Thank you for the information, Your replies are always helpful

  2. Although I am not familiar with coffee enemas , I can personally attest to the fact that coffee works for me whenever I am constipated which is frequently. Miramucil, Ducolax etc do nothing but a cup of my husband’s favorite extra dark roast do the trick every time.Perhaps

    1. Continued -you might want to mention this to your neurologist if constipation is a problem for you. Please let us know of anything you discover about coffee enemas in your research as we are all here to learn. Thea DeStephano. Community Team Member
