Changing Meds timeframe?
Hello, I was diagnosed last year (July). I live in Eastern Europe. My (national) Doctor put me on 2 meds and they have helped somewhat. My symptoms are left-hand tremble and left ankle tremble.
What is the timeframe for trying different meds? My doctor changed my meds slightly in April of this year, adding on a mild anti-depressant which has been great. I realize that some meds are not available where I live, I am hoping to see a Neurologist when back in the states next Spring.
The time frame for trying different medications varies depending on the medication and the patient. The only one who an really advise you is your Dr. Hopefully once you are back in the U.S. you will find a good movement disorder specialist . Let us know how things are working out for you. I wanted to check in and see how you are. What part of Central Europe are you in? I am first generation American on my maternal side a second generation on my dad’s. My family is Hungarian for generations. I hope all is well with you Thea Actually I’m in Eastern Europe. I had a really good visit with my Dr. last week and will have another MRI done so she can compare from last year’s MRI. I got a list of movement disorder specialists close to where we’ll be but not sure who contact and schedule an appointment 6 plus months in advance!
