Managing the organization of Parkinson Related Meds for Senior

Hello,

I am the son of a mother who is in her 70s living who is also living with my father in his late 70s. Although my father can help my mother with some of her day to day issues, one thing that we have had a problem with is helping my mother organize and manage all of the medication she has to take.

I live about an hour away from my parents and have two of my own kids. Is there a better way to keep track of all of the medications that she is taking as well as organizing them by time that she needs to take them that someone may be aware of?

My sister and I have been managing this and it feels like a full-time job, constantly calling doctors for refills, organizing all of the pills, etc. If anyone has any tips, services they can recommend, I would be helpful.

Thank you.

  1. Hi hopefully others will weigh in with any tips they have on keeping medications organized. I shared an article on the topic that may be of interest - https://parkinsonsdisease.net/living-with-pd/medication-management. I also shared another article that from the Parkinson's Foundation that has some tips - https://www.parkinson.org/resources-support/carepartners/advanced/daily-living#MedicationManagement. Hope this info is helpful. Kindly, Jessica (Team Member)
