The Self Fulfilling Prophecy

Years ago, while newly diagnosed with PD, (2010), I read about a small research study in Israel. There existed a possibility that a diagnosis of PD could lead to greater artistic expression. I believed in this limited study, kind of like a placebo.

Artistic expression and Parkinson's

So I said yes to a drawing class with my husband. At the end of class I reproduced the mill my grandfather ran in the Ukraine. Then I reproduced a garden that Monet painted. I loved the sense of being enveloped by what I was doing. I particularly enjoyed working with charcoal and pastels. I find that I look for new ways of expressing creativity.

Many projects

With the pandemic I have many projects to develop. I find the process of thinking creatively leads to open spaces and exhilaration of unlimited possibilities. Colors are exciting and speak to me. So grateful for the small research study in Israel.
