Hi, I’m Jane, a bit about me

I’ve had Parkinson’s for about 4 years now. I take Madopar. But I’ve also got osteoarthritis in my lower back. I’ve had this problem longer and this causes me a lot of pain. Sciatica has been really getting me down lately, so the doctor sent me to hospital for an X-ray.

They said I had a condition called osteitis pubis, which is inflammation of the pelvis saying it would take up to three months to get better. I can hardly stand long for the pain in my right leg makes it difficult to do much of the routine housework.

I’m so grateful that my husband does most of the cooking and the other household jobs at the moment, but he is older than me. I have to keep sitting down when my leg is painful.
