With an increased risk of melanoma for persons living with PD, will Medicare pay for examinations and required tests by a dermatologist?

Hi hoodwinqz – thanks for submitting your question! The best way to ensure Medicare will cover dermatologist exams would be to contact your dermatologists office, since each office may accept different insurance. We do have a few resources that talk more about health insurance and tips for paying for treatment here:

    https://parkinsonsdisease.net/basics/health-insurance/
    https://parkinsonsdisease.net/basics/treatment-cost-tips/

Additionally, we do have a sister site for skin cancer where you can find more information on melanoma here: https://skincancer.net/types-signs/melanoma/

    I hope this is helpful!
