The Enlightened Mr. Parkinson, a biography.

A while ago I found a second-hand copy of the biography of Mr Parkinson by Cherry Lewis.
Mr Parkinson was an amazing character, trained as an apothecary, then a surgeon and was a radical politician. He knew many of the great medical men of his time (1755-1824) and took an interest in many forms of science.
And of course he was the first to describe PD.
A very well written and interesting book.
Has anyone else read it?

  1. I have not read it but will see if I can find it as it sounds interesting. I have a copy of Parkinson’s essay on the shaking palsy. I downloaded it on my Kindle app when I realized it was free in the public domain. It is also an interesting read. Lorraine, parkinsonsdisease.net moderator
