Quinine for cramps?

Your latest article on foods for Parkinsons recommends quinine for cramps. However, While historically quinine has been used to treat muscle cramps, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has withdrawn its approval for this use. The FDA and other health organizations now strongly advise against using quinine to prevent or treat nighttime leg cramps due to the risk of serious side effects, including severe bleeding problems, kidney damage, and irregular heartbeat.
