Parkinsons & hormone treatment for Prostate cancer

My husband is the PWP. He has recently been diagnosed with prostate cancer and is being treated with hormone injections prior to radiotherapy.
Since starting this treatment his balance and walking has noticeably deteriorated. We wonder whether there is a connection and would welcome opinions.
Many thanks!

  1. I do not know if there is a direct connection with chemo and balance issues. However, from my experience, medical stress such as surgery/hospitalization/stressful situations (dentists, shots ) aggravate my Parkinson’s symptoms. My symptoms, including balance, are significantly worse during the stress period and for several weeks thereafter. Ask your neurologist about your husband’s balance. An adjustment in Parkinson’s medication might offer some relief .

Best of luck and I hope my comments were.helpful.
