Intestinal problems. Most people with PD seem to have constipation. I have the opposite problem and it impacts everything I do

I have the opposite problem and it impacts everything I do

  1. If you haven't done so already, Kennedy, speak with your Gastrologist, who can assess your stomach issues. Good luck. Regards, Marc M., Moderator, ParkinsonsDisease.Net

    1. I appreciate your sharing your story on a sensitive subject. The more open we are the more we can learn. I am about to see a Gastroenterologist specialist for a newly recurring issue and certainly commiserate with how it interferes with every aspect of daily life. I would love to stay in touch with you and see what we might learn . If you prefer, I am willing to correspond in private conversations.

      1. I just had an endoscopy on Thursday and apparently have a stool back up that is causing the constant diarrhea, Miralax has not helped so the gastro is considering Metamucil. I am hoping something will get be back to somewhat normal.
So many of my medications cause diarrhea. I never thought this would be a topic I would be discussing, but we need to share and try to help each other. Thea

        1. I have the same problem ... I can have 5 - 10 bowel movements a day. I am now on a dairy free diet ... no help

          1. Kennedy I also went dairy free and gluten free to no avail. Gastroenterologist is exploring what is causing the issue but it certainly isn’t easy when a restroom always has to be readily available. It makes life a challenge and interferes with social life.I am hoping for a resolution for us both. Thea
