Shakin' Shaz has the 'nods' again!

In the late '70s, early '80s I developed involuntary nodding of my head and could do nothing to control it. I saw 2 or 3 doctors about this but, I was assured it was 'nothing to worry about. After some time the shakes took over my hands. I was eventually diagnosed with benign essential tremor.

Ticking all the boxes

I lived with that and took beta blockers for years. The shakes got worse, and worse, and dreadful. Due to the pandemic, I couldn't get to see my GP and my neurologist discharged me from his clinic. I have deteriorated loads over recent weeks and my GP suggested PD. It all makes sense now and my mother suffered from it. Once home, I googled PD and found I tick ALL the boxes and am now just waiting to see the neurologist. Surprisingly, I am neither worried nor upset. Life rattles on...
