Some days

Hi I'm Dave, had a bad couple of weeks, legs feeling cold but not cold to the touch it's a new one on me, try my best to look after myself i.e., diet and exercise every day, and a new symptom dithering in my tummy an indication to my tremor. Anyway PD sufferers chin up head down carry on, good luck everyone.

  1. Hi Dave, I'm sorry to hear that you are experiencing some new symptoms with Parkinson's. My father experiences cold hands related to his PD. Maybe something similar to your cold legs. It sounds like you are trying your best to manage your health thru diet and exercise. Kudos to you Dave! Here is an article that I'm sending your way that might give you more insight:

Please let me know if it is helpful. I would love to hear how you are doing. Best regards, Suzanne Troy, ParkinsonsDisease.net moderator

    1. Hi Suzanne, thanks for the reply , and a big thanks for the link. It's good to know we PD sufferers have people like you to keep us up lifted, know there is people out there to help. Thanks once again and yes it did help , Dave XX

      1. You are welcome Dave! I'm glad you enjoyed the article. Please keep up in the loop on how you are doing and if we can provide any other information to you. Have a great weekend! Suzanne

    2. Hi Dave,

Like you, I frequently have temperature issues where my brain may say hot or cold and my fingers and legs actually are normal temp. The same “wrong signals” also occur if an external temperature source is applied ( heating pad or ice pack). My brain misinterprets the actual temperature about 75% of the time. One outcome to watch out for is your hands feet and legs are no longer a reliable indicator of temperature and stepping into a shower can become a new adventure. I would label stepping into a cold shower when your hand or feet have reported warm to be an “experience “ while stepping into an overly hot shower can be downright dangerous. Ditto if your hands are reporting incorrectly for handles and surfaces

      1. , Hi Phil, thanks for the information, that does sound plausible for one of my conditions,,obviously not glad that you have the same condition but glad someone else can relate to it . Thanks once again keep in touch . Dave.

    3. Phil I experienced something similar. My neurologist thinks it’s related to adrenaline levels that suddenly drop and take some time to reach normal. I was hospitalized when they could not detect a temperature. My core temperature was 92 and no one could determine why.The EMT thought his thermometer was broken! It took several days to come back to normal. Basically it was hypothermia with no known cause. The Drs believe it was levadopa related which I no longer take.PD is a mystery for certain
