Is it true that Parkinson's disease is only a movement-related condition?

  1. Parkinson's disease is classified as a movement disorder but its symptoms manifest in movement- and non-movement-related ways (https://parkinsonsdisease.net/basics/myths-misconceptions-facts/). PD affects the nervous system and can include motor and non-motor symptoms (https://parkinsonsdisease.net/symptoms/). Some common non-motor symptoms are reduced sense of smell (hyposmia), decrease in blood pressure when rising to stand (orthostatic hypotension), increased sweating and/or drooling, and sleep and digestive problems.
