Newly sufferig from Parkinsons'.

This is in response to a question from Chris - Tips on coping with the effects of suffering from Parkinson's as a new sufferer. Hello Chris. I am also a Chris and have suffered from Parkinson's for more than 20 years. Fortunately, I am very lucky and on a scale of 1-t0-10 (10 being the worst) I would put my rating no more than 5! Nothing special that I have been able to do, simply that my version of Parkinson's is weak, thank God. My worse feature of the disease is motion: I don't find it easy to walk and have to be cautious about losing my balance. I have bored you enough. Here is a tip that works very well for me.Although I don't have any specific warnings about when I an about to faint or black out, I do get a funny/peculiar kind of feeling. If I let this feeling continue often I just collapse, Black Out. AS soon as that I get that feeling I take a dose of CBD OIL, which controls the advance of the problem. I have been taking CBD OIL for quite some time now and find that taking it fairly often is beneficial for my version of Parkinson's. For the record I am 88 years old, Male, live in Johannesburg South Africa.

  1. Hello, a belated thank you from our community for sharing your tips on how you battle PD every day. It helps when people like you offer what works and doesn't work. You sound like you are doing amazingly well for an 88 year old!
All the best to you! Suzanne Troy, ParkinsonsDisease.net Team Member

    1. Hello Suzanne, thank you for your nice words about my managing 20+ years of PD. It would have been wonderful to have had a secret formula to pass on to our members - sadly, I do not.

But I would appreciate help and advice from our members, please. For over a year now I have suffered from a running nose and from dribbling. The running nose isn’t permanent nor is the dribbling. Usually it is one or the other. Fellow suffers will know how annoying and embarrassing this can be; dribbling spots of water on documents, onto any surface and so on. I’m sure I have seen articles on this subject by members but I didn’t take note of them. I’d appreciate it someone would come to my rescue and tell me how they control their dribbling and running nose. This time I promise to take proper note; thank you. I am 88, living in Johannesgerg.
