My uncle is not doing good he has Parkinson's

My uncle has had Parkinson's for a number of years he is close to the final stage he's in the hospital not doing very well at all my aunt who takes care of him is financially struggling with medical bills and care and cannot afford very much can anybody direct us to get help for my aunt and my uncle

  1. I am sorry your aunt is struggling. The Fox foundation does have an assistance program that might be of some help. If you search under financial assistance on this site you may find what you need.It all depends on what you may qualify for. A hospital social worker or your local Council on Aging may also be a good resource for information.
I am sorry I can’t be more specific but there are a variety of options depending upon where you are located. I hope you can find the help you need. Thea DeStephano Community Team Member

    1. Thank you I appreciate your information my aunts and uncle live near Reading Pennsylvania at this point any information that would help is greatly appreciated

      1. Hi to add to the tips Thea provided, I included some info that may be useful - https://parkinsonsdisease.net/resources-cost. The following link is to the Parkinson's Foundation's Helpline - https://www.parkinson.org/resources-support/helpline. You can reach out to them, if you wish, and they may be able to point you in the right direction to resources that could help your uncle's particular situation. I hope something we have provided is helpful. Kindly, Jessica, PD Team Member
