methylphenidate and Parkinson

Hi,
Is there anyone using methylphenidate or adderall (for adhd), or have used it along with your PD medication ?--and did you have some bad side effects

  1. Hello, I can share that we tried this recently for my father aged 87 PwP and dementia. We thought this would help smooth out my father's sometimes short attention span and add to his day time wakefulness. However, it made him too jittery/wired. The neurologist explained that this sometimes is an effective correction to some people with these symptoms.       I have been taking Adderall for 5 yrs. I have had no side effects. My neurologist suggested it to help with fatigue, foggy brain and inability to stay focused due to Parkinson's. The first time I took it 5mg, 3x/day the fog lifted from my brain. It was as if I had been asleep for a long time. For me I can't imagine not having it available. Occasionally there are times I don't take it just to give myself a break. but I notice a difference in my functioning. If you are considering
