Doctor diagnosis

I’ve had ET for 20 years but recently concerned that heading towards to Parkinsons. I raised this with my doctor this week who did some tests. He advised I had increased tone on the left side but that increases tone is the opposite to PD and that PD presents in both sides not just one. From what I’ve read I don’t think he’s right but I know he should know best. Should I get another opinion?

  1. If you are concerned I would suggest seeking a second opinion with a movement disorder specialist. They have additional training and can help determine if you have PD or not. We know our own bodies best. Good luck. Thea DeStephano
