Diet

Hi I just wondered if anyone has any knowledge about wether including honey into the diet is of any benefit in the treatment of Parkinson’s symptoms.?

  1. Thank you for your question. There is no conclusive evidence that honey has any beneficial results in treating PD. Currently, there are several countries testing bee venom as a treatment. Russia, Korea and several other pacific rim countries are also testing this hypothesis. Regards, Marc M., ParkinsonsDisease.Net. Moderator

    1. Hi KeithB, Good question. I know that honey is beneficial according to many studies for multiple health benefits. Here is an article on recommended diet tips for PD:
      https://parkinsonsdisease.net/living/antioxidant-meal-plan
It mentions having honey and other food groups to benefit PD.
Hope this gives some information about honey and general diet recommendations.
