I am so tired of not caring about anything. It is very negative and I never thought of myself as negative. I was( am) a positive person.
What do you do about your apathy? I need some serious help!
so sorry to hear you are dealing with this. I know others here in our community experience apathy, and hopefully will chime in with any thoughts they may have on the topic. In the meantime, here is an article on apathy - https://parkinsonsdisease.net/answers/motivated-dealing-apathy. Hope this helps. Please know we are here for you any time. Thank you Mcrossley for your question. In my case, when I feel that apathy is coming on, I do positive self-talk and say to myself, "I have two choices. I can either do A or do nothing. I reason with myself about what is better to do. When I choose to do something positive against the apathetic feeling and do the activity, the apathy passes. To combat my apathy, I internally start to reason with myself. I think of the pros and cons of doing the activity that apathy interferes with me doing. Then I agree that the pro side has more benefits for me. I then begin the activity and continue doing it. The apathy becomes lessened. It works for me.😀 Marc M., Moderator, parkinsonsdisease.net
