Thank you Mcrossley for your question. In my case, when I feel that apathy is coming on, I do positive self-talk and say to myself, "I have two choices. I can either do A or do nothing. I reason with myself about what is better to do. When I choose to do something positive against the apathetic feeling and do the activity, the apathy passes.
