   <p>Hello NessaM - Thank you for sharing your story. As a Parkinson&#39;s Carepartner and the cook in our house, I know how hard it is to make sure to limit protein for my husband so it doesn&#39;t impact his medications. Juggling protein consumption, activity and medication scheduling can be difficult but I commend you for taking time to work on figuring out your schedule. It really is a personalized schedule that works the best with trial and error. We find it is a daily negotiation - balancing his physical demands of the day along with what he would like to eat. We are also a vegetarian household. Dairy products, eggs and soy protein products seem to effect him the most. Breakfast has the least amount of protein with a little more at lunch and my husband tries to take most of his protein at the evening meal. As you continue to find what works for you, you may want to share your findings with your neurologist or ask your neurologist if they have a referral to a nutritionist who may be able to give you additional help and info. Most of all, be kind to yourself as you try to figure out the schedule that works best for you.    <p>I read your post with interest. Perhaps it is the timing of when you eat and when you take your carbidopa-levodopa that needs attention? If you have not already done so, I hope you discuss this with your neurologist. Perhaps a dietitian could be helpful, too.
