"Continued ... By one of those quirks of fate, my first job after graduating was in John and Mike’s hometown. In fact, they helped me move and get settled. John quickly took over maintenance and “Upgrade” responsibility for both my cars. He also got me actively involved in drag racing as he was part owner of the local drag strip. I ended up with a seriously interesting ‘66 Mustang coupe that John used as a R&D vehicle for some of his wilder ideas. A few years later, my life and career took me to South Florida, where we lived for 13 years. As all too often happens, We lost track of each other and followed our separate paths. I hadn’t thought of John for years until someone sent me a copy of his obituary yesterday and I discovered that he too had lived with PD. Reading about his fight made me feel sad that we hadn’t kept in contact over the years. I’ve pledged to try to do better in the future. By the way, John talked me out of the Mustang when we relocated and still had it when he passed away. I hope he enjoyed it all those years. "
