Others have similar problems?

I have plastic-like pieces stuck on the back of my top, front teeth which no dentist, or anyone else can see, but I feel with my tongue. I can also feel stick like-pieces wedged between my top teeth which also can not be seen. Has anyone had the same problem? I need help - it doesn't stop!!
Carol

  1. Hi it has been a while and I wanted to check in on you and see how you are doing? Are you still having problems with your teeth? Jill (Team Member)

    1. Yes - as bad as ever. The pieces behind my top teeth and the splinter-like pieces between my teeth are driving me crazy. Do you have any ideas?

      1. I wish you were not experiencing this. I can understand why this would be driving you nuts. I wonder if you are grinding your teeth and wearing away your tooth enamel which is exposing nerve endings? Check out this article: https://parkinsonsdisease.net/living/oral-hygiene-dentist. If your dentist is not helping you, I would recommend trying to find another one that will hopefully be able to help you. Please keep us posted. Jill (Team Member)

    2. The problem is that my tongue can feel and move around plastic-like pieces but can not be removed or seen by anyone. I have been to 3 local dentists and made multiple trips to Tufts School of Dentistry in Boston with the same conclusion, nothing can be seen. My usual dentist told me that his father-in-law always complained of pieces in his mouth but nothing was there. He never gave it much thought until I told him my story. His father-in-law has since passed.
Thank you for your ideas. Any more?

      1. I can't even imagine how frustrating this is for you. Especially since you can not get any answers. I really wish I could help you. I tried search through our site and on the web and could not find any relevant information. If you haven't mentioned this to your health care provider, I would just to get their thoughts as well. I really hope you can get some answers. Please keep us posted. Jill (Team Member)
