Madopar not working

I'd be very grateful for comments on this. I was diagnosed with PD in June and prescribed Madopar. It simply isn't working for me. I've had a DaT scan ( today) but won't get results till the end of January earliest. The consultant thinks it's PD plus i.e. a neurological disease mimicking PD. Not due to see my consultant til February but I have lots of questions to ask. I feel as if I'm on my own with this and very worried about my future. Is anyone else in this situation? Are there any other drugs to help ? I have good support from family and friends and am trying to fight this negativity . I need more guidance and ideally reassurance about the future. Judy
