Levadopa every 2 hours?

Hi I was diagnosed with pd Feb 23. And I am taking lrvadopa 25/100
1 1/2 pills every 4 hours. I see my neurologist in a few weeks but I'm going to tell him it wears off in about 2 hours.if he has me take it every 2 hours is this a sign that I am in my late stages already? I'm starting to worry abou t this

  1. About 2 years ago, I received a life-altering diagnosis of Parkinson's Disease. The treatment, primarily Carbadopa-Levadopa however, wasn't effective, leading to a hospitalization. This experience prompted me to seek a second opinion, which revealed a different culprit: Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP). Be sure to get a second opinion. I saw a movement specialist who diagnosed PSP in 20 minutes. See my whole story at https://bit.ly/3TQRHaE

    1. Hi I am glad you are going to see your neurologist soon. Since we are not medical professionals, I do not want to steer you in the wrong direction. I would definitely encourage you to talk to your doctor about all questions you have. I really hope you can get more relief. Also, you can always reach out to your doctor's office before your appointment to tell them the meds are wearing off quickly. They should be able to help even over the phone with next steps.
