Falling

Just recently I have lost the ability to walk without a cane or walker.
Without assistive device to keep me from falling I cannot get around safely. I am thinking my balance problems may be caused by new drugs that I am taking. The two new drugs are Nuplazid for
my hallucinations and Rivastigmine for my memory. I was diagnosed with PD in 2012 .

  1. Have you discussed your concerns with your neurologist? This is certainly an important issue to seek advice for as your safety is at risk.

    1. l saw my neurologist last month and we did make him aware of my balance issues. I was in a wheelchair that day. I am presently taking Rytary 245 capsules for mobility. (2x245) every 3 hrs. 8 dose’s a day.

  2. What was his opinion as to why you developed sudden balance issues? Do you see a movement disorder specialist. They have additional training in dealing with PD and you may .want to consider getting a second opinion. That is simply a suggestion and in no way meant to imply that your neurologist is not competent. Sometimes a new perspective can be useful. All the best, Thea
