Excessive saliva

I am into my 8th year with PD, and I am so exhausted trying to deal with excess saliva, that is so thick and constant. Sleeping is difficult as my mouth and and throat need to be cleared frequently.
I have tried chewing gum and avoid sugar products.
Are there other members also dealing with this issue.

Thanks
Moja

    1. Thank you for coming back me Suzanne. I shall certainly look into this. I am at the stage where I will try almost anything that might help. I'll let you know how I get on. Thanks once again.....Arnold

  2. I know that Atropine drops under your tongue work to stop excessive saliva. Also botox works I was told.

    1. Thanks for getting back to me Rupert, you are the second person who has mentioned Atropine, so clearly it is something that I can try. I will let you know how I get on. Thanks once again......Arnold

  3. My brother uses Atropine drops under his tongue before he eats. Another friend gets botox treatment from his neurologists. Apparently, it works but costs more .

  4. Did you tried levsin ( or hyoscyamine). This is an anticholinergic drug that decreases the oral secretions.
