I'm not a Parkie, but a caregiver. Is anyone else concerned about driving and when to halt his driving? How do you approach this sensitive topic?
Thank you for your question about when to halt driving. In case you haven't done so already, please discuss with the family that seeing his doctor or let the movement disorder neurologist evaluate and recommend whether to cease driving or not. Best., Marc M., Moderator, parkinsonsdisease.net
Thanks! His independence is valuable to him and I would hate to be the one to say that he can't drive. To his credit, he's extremely careful when he drives, doesn't carry conversations and really, really concentrates. Unfortunately, there have been some problems, none serious, thankfully!
