Diagnosing Parkinsons when you already haveType 1 diabetes, Rheumatoid Arthritis and entrapped nerves?

I am 69 years old with a 50 year history of diabetes mellitus, and diagnoses of rheumatoid arthritis, osteoporosis, and multiple nerve entrapments in both arms. I also have drop foot from a car accident 20 years ago. How will a movement disorder neurologist be able to tell if a consistent thumb tremor, stumbling, and changes in handwriting is early Parkinsons Disease?

  1. Hi have you had a chance to see a physician about what you are experiencing? I shared some information on the diagnosis process here - https://parkinsonsdisease.net/diagnosis.
