Traveling with Parkinson's

Managing your PD symptoms can be difficult while on vacation, or just going to the store. What are some tips you have to manage your PD when you’re away from home? Share with us below!

  1. I have difficulty with being able to walk correctly. I fall and walk too fast. My digestive tract causes problems and embarrassment

    1. I empathize with you, Kennedy. I am sure you have done so already, but have you contacted your MDS and Gastrologist? Some medicines work on regulating your stomach issues. Regards, Marc, Moderator, ParkinsonsDisease.Net

    2. Thank you for your comment. I take Melatonin to help me sleep. Don't try this though, unless you get clearance from your doctor. A Gastrologist is a doctor who helps with stomach issues, whereas a Movement Disorder Neurologist helps with walking. Regards, Marc, Moderator, ParkinsonsDisease.Net
