Caregiving While Traveling

As a caregiver or care partner, traveling with someone with Parkinson's can be difficult. Have tips or advice for other caregivers while planning a vacation, or even just going to the store? Share with us below!

  1. If you are traveling outside of the United States and you depend on Medicare for insurer be aware, should you or your PWP get injured or become sick Medicare will not cover these cost. Also, many foreign medical facilities require payment up front, even in emergency situations

  2. I am caregiving to an undiagnosed PD because of refusal to see a physician. We have no discussion about health issues, except mine. Complete shutdown. He doesn't want to go anywhere, so I usually go by myself. I am seeking counseling on how to cope. So many issues to deal with. I just joined this group and need support and advice.

    1. That sounds incredibly difficult, . I'm sure that's a really big strain on you. Refusing care is a giant obstacle!
