"I was diagnosed in 2020 and only have mild symptoms. I am doing well today and plan to do a little exercise class from UTube. I didn’t know UTube had a class for about everyone. I just started doing a beginner aerobic class and a balance class put on by a PT. "

  1. Hi @Gofergirl, Welcome to the Community. Thank you for your post, You have a great attitude. Starting to exercise is an excellent way to start fighting Parkinson's Disease. I am providing a couple of links that may interest you (https://parkinsonsdisease.net/living/advice-newly-diagnosed) and (https://parkinsonsdisease.net/living-with-pd). Please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions. We are here for you. Warm regards, Rob Hunt, Parkinsonsdisease.net, Community Advocate

  2. On youtube.com, Gofergirl, please check out, Lee Silverman Voice Treatment-LOUD for voice and LSVT-BIG for physical exercises. In my opinion, as a Speech Pathologist, they are excellent. Also, if you haven't done so already, please check out The Parkinsons Voice Project, Speak with INTENT and LOUD CROWD as well for vocal loudness. Good luck! Marc M. Moderator, ParkinsonsDisease.Net

  3. Thanks. I’ll check them out.

  4. Thanks. I’ll do that. My husband acts like he can’t hear me half of the time, but I can’t rely on him since he is hard of hearing and won’t wear his hearing aids. My ENT told me that I won’t need hearing aids until I’m 90.
